I have been a fan of David Allen pickups for some time now and have used them in several guitars and basses.  I recently horse-traded for a MIM Fender Tele Deluxe that someone had modified.  I emailed David and told him I wanted a set of humbuckers for the Tele with both grit and bark along with sweet and smooth.  He recommended his Dirty Cat set, which I ordered.  I just finished installing them into the Tele and plugged it into my Shaw 15w combo.  Wow!  These are exactly what I was hoping for.  The bridge pickup barks but is never harsh.  The neck pickup is like 'buttah'.  The middle position is pretty much perfect.  The guitar really responds now.  Play soft it cry's like a baby.  Dig in and it will flat knock you OUT.  And David is a great guy who will help you with anything you need.  If you are looking for a set that will put your head in a twist and cover just about any type of music---the Dirty Cat set is the way to go!  Thank you David!

After searching for the right humbuckers to put in my Les Paul for years, I finally found a pair. Rick Long installed these in my Les Paul for me. They are clear and present while maintaining substance, balance with controllable tonal volume. These humbuckers accentuate your personal touch and your instrument's feel. I had given up on my Les Paul, now I can't wait to start gigging with it again!
