This is an exceptional low out put strat set. The neck and middle are lower output then our TruVintage54 and the bridge is pushed up to apprx. 7.5K with a 43ga enamel wire to give some power when you want it.
Alnico5 magnets, slightly hand beveled to keep an articulate focused tone. This set is clean, tight, and crisp and the bridge is warm, full and rounded.
Hand beveled cast alnico magnets, laser cut hand punched and hand beveled flat work, lacquer dipped, scatter wound, Special wax potted to reduce microphonics, USA Vintage Cloth Hook Up wire, RWRP middle
Inductance in Henries: N 1.87, M 2.06, B 2.59
Resistance Neck 5.08, Middle 5.38, Bridge 7.5 (bridge uses 43 ga PE wire)

BigCats is really Big in tone November 30, 2011

Recently I installed the CS bigcats on my custom strat ( Alder body, maple neck, Indian Rosewood fretboard). The initial reaction after installing it was- It is the quietest true single coil I have ever played. It almost felt like a noiseless stacked humbucker I have in my other guitar. Now coming to the tonal characteristics- The neck and middle pickups are extremely articulate, just as you would expect a strat pickup to be, but most importantly inspite of being low output and stratty they don't sound thin, they have got a 3 dimensional depth to their tone which you can feel as you play and can only be described by saying it feels "very juicy".  The bridge pickup is a little bit hotter and being a humbucker in the bridge user I was a little skeptical, but when I played through it I was surprised to find its round and full tone. With  distortion and a little twitch of the tone knob I was almost into humbucker territory; and pinch harmonics are a breeze as well.
