Description

Warm smooth buttery mids while retaining the clarity in highs and defined note separation the Texas Flood set was made after the tone of SRV from 1985 on, and a tremendous amount of research and testing and tracking down people in the know was used in developing this set. These are wound to the specs SRV's guitars were rewound to in 1985. But using a modern stagger so they will work correctly with today's strings and flatter radius necks. These are all 52mm spaced magnets or "F" spaced and the middle is RWRP for quiet operation in the 2 and 4 positions.
Artist Playing: Charles English (guitarist for Alabama), Rudy Paris, Adam Shoenfeld (Session Guitarist Jason Aldean), Justin Derrico (PINK, The Voice), Reid Johnson (Guitarist for Kelsea Ballerini), Roger Colman (Guitarist: Justin Moore), Jason Jordan (Nashville Session Guitarist)
"The Texas Flood pickups really brought my Strat to life. They're full of tone. No noise, balanced, no harshness, articulate, and so full and round sounding. It really is the ultimate Strat pickup. I've been through 4 different sets of pickups for that guitar and finally found the perfect set. Great job man" Roger Coleman.

5 of 5 TexasFloods Amazing!! July 16, 2014
Reviewer: Bruce W. from TEXAS United States
Man did I get busy right after receiving your Texas Flood Pickups.  I had put my main guitar- Nash Strat with rosewood fretboard up for sale.  That guitar received all the pickups I had mention that I tried:  Fender, Fralin, Lollar, and Tom Brantley Custom Winds.  Had a buyer coming down from Austin in two days, so I rush into removing the Texas Specials, then installing your Texas Floods.  Your TexasFloods had so more beautiful musical tone, those strat tubular notes, smoother highs, while keeping that crisp wound string E tone and punch….everything I spoke to you about before the purchase, getting everything I expected.  And your 2 and 4 positions had plenty of sweet bluesy quack.

5 of 5 Flooding in Texas where the streets have no name June 19, 2014
Reviewer: Jamie Harrison from Albuquerque , NM United States
My first excursion into the world of "cool" pickups was ordering Texas Specials from musicians friend when i was like 11.

I loved the Stevie sound and religiously put them in every strat I bought thereafter.

Naturally the Flood peaked my boyhood interest.

Glassy Highs, Clear Lows, and punchy mids. They have the Stevie sound but I am amazed at how clean they are.

Texas specials always give a muddy biting sound. The flood are humble but will kick you in the teeth if your not looking.

I used them for a church gig playing U2 style Christ Rock and then took them to a bar to play Texas blues.

Head explodes brain matter everywhere!
