Description

This is a rich set with a dynamic tonal range. A set made with flat magnets the slightly protrude from the covers and have a slight bevel to focus the magnetic energy. Great for any neck radius because there is no stagger.
This set is fantastic for Blues, Jazz and Rock plays smooth and creamy or delivers a nice punch! Neck was inspired from a '59 and the middle from a '62 and the bridge is pushed enough for your amp to feel it anddeliver some punch but still lay down and be smooth when you want it. The bridge is slightly warm in tone.
Made with 42 GA wire and alnico 5 magnets,

Inductance in Henries; Neck 2.8, Middle 3.0, Bridge 3.31

D Allen FlatTops April 7, 2013
Reviewer: Andrew Ferrell from Phoenix, AZ United States
I own a Fender Deluxe Strat with rosewood neck, swamp ash body, and Callaham bridge.  It's had the N3 noiseless pickups for three years so I know them very well.  They can get Fenderish sounds and some decent quacks.  I was curious what a pickup change could do.  The FlatTops brought my Strat to life!  Compare to the N3s, these things are BONKERS!  My guitar is touch sensitive and dynamic in a way it has never been before.  Notes and chords are rich and articulate.  There is this lush juiciness that I hear reminiscent of SRV.  On my start, the neck pickup is warm with a richness that captures all my strings' subtle articulations. (almost flush to the pickguard); the middle pickup is now incredibly usable and dynamic (elevated about 2mm and 3mm at high e);  the bridge sounds tight and is not brittle (elevated 3mm and 4mm at high e); positions 2 and 4 offer delicate and glassy quacks.  These pickups have given my Strat more depth than I could have imagined.  Well done Mr. Allen!

Absolutely Amazing!!!! March 26, 2012
Reviewer: Joseph Grande from Richmond, CA United States
I emailed David asking what set he would suggest for something that was really midsy, had a decent enough output to push pedals without overdriving my amp when clean, that would handle distortion really well, and had a ton of responce. These pickups delivered and gave me more than I wanted! in addition to my requests, these pickups are the clearest most articulate pickups I have ever used. the string separation is amazing, and the bridge is as thick sounding as a P-90 but still sounds like a Strat pickup. I could not be happier with this set of pickups and the guitar they are in has become my #1 go to guitar for everything, regardless of style. i play blues, grunge, classic rock, punk, and hard rock and these pickups excell in them all!
